About Unblend

Language from IFS

What does "unblending" mean here?

In Internal Family Systems, blending is when a Part floods the system and Self steps aside. Unblending is creating enough space to feel the Part without being taken over by it.

Unblend is not a substitute for therapy. It is a structured companion for the hours between sessions, so patterns are easier to notice while they still carry heat.

Mission

Continuity without pretending to be your therapist.

We believe people deserve tools that respect how the nervous system actually works: in waves, after hours, and often faster than words can catch.

Our job is to widen the window where Self can come forward, not to replace the human who holds clinical responsibility.

What we optimize for

Between-session support

  • Guide nervous system regulation and parts-aware reflection between sessions
  • Help you see emotional patterns as they show up in real life
  • Teach IFS-informed practices in plain language you can use the same day
  • Meet you with voice or text when the hard moment does not wait for Tuesday
Values

What we will not compromise on

The principles that show up in product decisions, copy, and how we talk about risk.

Compassion

We build with empathy for every Part that shows up, and for the humans doing slow, brave work.

Safety

Privacy and HIPAA-compliant workflows for therapists and practices—with a signed BAA where PHI is in scope—are not extras. They are how trust stays intact while you are vulnerable.

Innovation

We iterate where technology can extend continuity without pretending to replace a human therapist.

Team

Clinical insight, shipped in software
